DAB digital radio stations are closing so fast here in the UK, the service provider is trying to hold our interest in the failing format with a channel of birdsong. All credit to them, it is compelling listening…

This all-day dawn chorus has been upgraded to the highest level of sound quality our commercial broadcasters are allowed while all the other surviving stations are given the bird.

Planet Rock may be in its last days as they search for a buyer. Wouldn’t it be a great gesture if Digital One upgraded them to better sound quality while they have so much spare capacity?

Elvaston Rally – End Of An Era

The RSGB has been asked to announce that this year’s Elvaston Castle rally has been cancelled. Originally planned for 8 June, the organisers say that there are various issues to blame, including insurance problems, a view held by G3RFX in his reading of the GB2RS News. It has also been suggested that falling attendances are to blame. For this simple ham, a simple pleasure has been lost. Have your say as another radio era ends…
